Arch-able Typeface

Takafumi Miki

Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Arch-able Typeface by Takafumi Miki Arch-able is a platform to archive and distribute digital data of architects’ designs. Designers made an original typeface for this digital fabrication related project. Lots of users had problems with making 3D typography because the typeface has to be stencil style. And some stencil typefaces couldn’t engrave all corners because they have right-angle corners. So this typeface solved that issue because it has stencil style and all corners are rounded. All drill bits can reach and fit all corners. Designers called it digital fabrication friendly typeface.
